We spent the day in Avebury today with Another Rich, Anyalou and mark.gascoine, and were lucky to have mostly sunny skies for much of the day. Avebury is a favourite place of mine. There are countless standing stones there, but I seem to photograph this one (in ‘The Avenue’) more than most for some reason. I’d have preferred it without the sun and flare, but today was very much a day of experimentation to see what this filter can/can’t do.
Today was my first chance to try infrared photography with the new filter. I’d put off getting it for a while after hearing mixed reports on the suitability of my Canon for IR, but I’m glad I took the gamble as it works well. Exploring things in IR is definitely interesting , and it’s fascinating to see this normally invisible light, and I can see me spending a lot more time on it :)
